A — Galvanized for corrosion resistance. In conventional ACSR, zinc-coated steel strands provide mechanical reinforcement and resist corrosion.
ACSR: Al conducts, Steel reinforces, Zinc protects.
B wrongly assigns the steel core a conductivity-driven purpose. C tinning is not the standard ACSR steel-core treatment. D annealing would reduce hardness/strength and is not the defining protective treatment.
Thinking every conductor component is optimized mainly for conductivity; ACSR deliberately separates electrical and mechanical functions.
If an ACSR question asks ‘why steel?’, answer strength; if it asks ‘why galvanized?’, answer corrosion resistance.
