A — Interchanging any pair of lines. Swapping two phase connections reverses their cyclic order and the direction of the rotating magnetic field.
Any two phases → reverse rotation.
B changes all phases together and does not create the required phase permutation. C and D describe polarity reversal rather than the standard method of changing phase sequence. A is the recognized method.
Thinking all three phases must be rearranged. Swapping just one pair is sufficient.
Two lines swapped → sequence reversed; no calculation required.
