GSSSB 2026 guide

The GSSSB 2026 answer key lets you calculate your exact marks before the official result. Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board publishes a provisional answer key together with each candidate’s response sheet; this calculator reads your response sheet, applies the official marking scheme automatically and ranks you live against every student who has checked their score here.

GSSSB 2026 marking scheme

Correct answer+1
Wrong answer−0.25 (negative marking)
Not attempted0

Because of negative marking, every wrong answer costs you 1.25 marks compared with a correct one. The scorecard shows exactly how many marks negative marking took away and what your accuracy was in each section.

How GSSSB normalisation works

The exam is held in several shifts, so marks are normalised with the percentile method used by SSC: your percentile inside your own shift is found first, then the raw score at that same percentile is taken from every shift and averaged. Students of tougher shifts gain marks, students of easier shifts lose a little.

The live table on this page shows, for every shift, how many marks normalisation adds or removes at the median, the top 10% and the top 1%.

How the rank and expected cut-off are predicted

Your score is compared with every response sheet checked for GSSSB on this site — overall, category-wise, female, shift-wise. The expected cut-off comes from a merit simulation: seats from the official advertisement are filled in order of merit, open seats first and then reserved seats, with female reservation and the minimum qualifying marks applied. As more students check their marks, the prediction gets closer to the final merit.

What decides the GSSSB cut-off

  • Number of vacancies in each category
  • Number of candidates who appeared and the difficulty level of each shift
  • Normalisation between shifts
  • Minimum qualifying marks for each category
  • Changes made in the final answer key after objections

Answer key objection

If you believe an answer in the provisional key is wrong, open the objection desk on your scorecard. Students discuss each question of each shift separately, one objection card collects support from everyone, and you can download a ready-made proof sheet to upload on the official Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board objection portal before the deadline.

GSSSB marks calculator — FAQ

How do I calculate my GSSSB marks from the answer key?

Copy the link of your GSSSB response sheet from the official portal, paste it in the calculator on this page and tap “Show my scorecard”. Marks, section-wise score and rank appear in about two seconds. You can also upload the response sheet PDF.

What is the marking scheme of GSSSB?

Each correct answer gets +1 mark and each wrong answer has a negative marking of 0.25. Unattempted questions get 0. The calculator applies this automatically.

How is my GSSSB rank predicted?

Your score is compared with every other student who checked marks for the same exam here — overall, category-wise, female, state and shift-wise. When the exam has several shifts, the normalised score is calculated with the official percentile method. Tap “Refresh my rank” any time to see your latest position.

Can I check my scorecard again with my roll number?

Yes. After you check once with your response link or PDF, choose the Roll number tab and enter your roll number with the first letters of your name to open your saved scorecard, rank and full paper.

Is my data safe?

Your name, roll number and photograph are never shown publicly. If you tick “save my scorecard”, they are stored encrypted so you can reopen it with your roll number and appear in the merit list; only the site administrator can see them.

Can I download my GSSSB scorecard?

Yes. Download a high-resolution scorecard image or a watermarked PDF, with or without your name and roll number, or share a status card on WhatsApp and Telegram.
