Because of negative marking, every wrong answer costs you 4 marks compared with a correct one. The scorecard shows exactly how many marks negative marking took away and what your accuracy was in each section.
How the rank and expected cut-off are predicted
Your score is compared with every response sheet checked for CAT on this site — overall, category-wise, female, shift-wise. The expected cut-off comes from a merit simulation: seats from the official advertisement are filled in order of merit, open seats first and then reserved seats, with female reservation and the minimum qualifying marks applied. As more students check their marks, the prediction gets closer to the final merit.

How do I calculate my CAT marks from the answer key?
Copy the link of your CAT response sheet from the official portal, paste it in the calculator on this page and tap “Show my scorecard”. Marks, section-wise score and rank appear in about two seconds. You can also upload the response sheet PDF.
What is the marking scheme of CAT?
Each correct answer gets +3 marks and each wrong answer has a negative marking of 1. Unattempted questions get 0. The calculator applies this automatically.
How is my CAT rank predicted?
Your score is compared with every other student who checked marks for the same exam here — overall, category-wise, female, state and shift-wise. When the exam has several shifts, the normalised score is calculated with the official percentile method. Tap “Refresh my rank” any time to see your latest position.
Can I check my scorecard again with my roll number?
Yes. After you check once with your response link or PDF, choose the Roll number tab and enter your roll number with the first letters of your name to open your saved scorecard, rank and full paper.
Is my data safe?
Your name, roll number and photograph are never shown publicly. If you tick “save my scorecard”, they are stored encrypted so you can reopen it with your roll number and appear in the merit list; only the site administrator can see them.
Can I download my CAT scorecard?
Yes. Download a high-resolution scorecard image or a watermarked PDF, with or without your name and roll number, or share a status card on WhatsApp and Telegram.
