GSSSB AAE (Mechanical) Recruitment 2026
The Gujarat Secondary Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has announced a major recruitment drive for the post of Additional Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) – Class-3 (અધિક મદદનીશ ઇજનેર (યાંત્રિક)) under Advertisement No. 419/202627. A total of 110 vacancies are available in the Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board (GWSSB) under the Narmada, Water Resources, Water Supply, and Kalpsar Department.
Candidates holding a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering are eligible to apply. The online application process will be conducted through the OJAS portal from June 15, 2026, to June 29, 2026. Candidates must be between 18 and 33 years of age as of June 29, 2026. Age relaxations are provided to various categories as described below:

Salary / Fixed Remuneration & Career Scope
- For the first five years, selected candidates will be appointed on a fixed monthly pay of Rs. 49,600/-, along with other benefits as per the relevant Finance Department resolutions.
- After five years, subject to satisfactory performance, candidates will be placed in the regular pay scale of Level-7 (Rs. 39,900 to Rs. 1,26,600) as per the 7th Pay Commission, subject to the outcome of pending SLP No. 14124/2012 and SLP No. 14125/2012 before the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
Selection Process – Stages of Recruitment
The selection process consists of a single-stage competitive examination (CBRT or OMR based) divided into two parts. Candidates must score at least 40% marks in both Part-A and Part-B individually to be considered for selection.

How to Apply for GSSSB AAE Recruitment 2026
The Board accepts applications only through the online mode via the OJAS portal. Below is the step-by- step process for filling out the online application form for Advertisement No. 419/202627.

- Visit the official website https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
- Click on “Apply” under the Online Application section and select GSSSB.
- Locate Advertisement No. 419/202627 (Assistant Engineer Mechanical, Class-3), click on the cadre name, then click Apply. Review the “More Details” option to read the complete advertisement before proceeding.
- Click on Apply Now, then “Skip” to open the Application Format and fill in the Personal Details (fields marked with a red asterisk are mandatory).
- Fill in the Educational Details section after completing Personal Details.
- Accept the terms under the “Assurance” section by selecting “Yes” and click Save to complete the application.
- Note down the generated Application Number for future reference.
- Upload your photograph and signature: photo should be 5 cm height x 3.6 cm width, and signature should be 2.5 cm height x 7.5 cm width, both in JPG format not exceeding 15 KB. The photo must have a white background and must not be older than one year from the last date of application.
- Click on “Confirm Application” under the Online Application tab, enter your Application Number and Date of Birth, review the details, and confirm only after thorough verification, since no changes are allowed after confirmation. A Confirmation Number will be generated, which must be saved carefully.
- Use “Print Application” to download and save a copy of the confirmed application form using your Confirmation Number and Date of Birth before the last date.
